FURUNO opened a new INS Training Center in Singapore (INSTC Singapore)

FURUNO opened a new INS Training Center in Singapore (INSTCSingapore) on November 1, 2011.

INSTC Singapore provides the 2 days type specific ECDIS training for the FURUNO FEA-2x07 ECDIS toseafarers who wish to receive the training in this region of Asia. The type specific ECDIS training courseprovided by INSTC Singapore is approved by ClassNK as the first type specific training course in Iheworld.

The INS Training Center in Denmark (INSTC Denmark) established in 2005 continues to offer typespecific ECDIS training for FURUNO FEA-2x07 ECDIS along with to the generic IMO ECDIS ModelCourse 1.27. Trainees receiving the IMO ECDIS Model Course 1.27 training in INSTC Denmarkautomatically receive the type specific ECDIS training for the FEA-2x07. INSTC Denmark offers a widerange of other training courses like Bridge Resource Management, Bridge Team Management, IMOIBS/INS Model Course 1.32 and shore staff training courses. The training courses of IMO Model Courses1.27 and 1.32 are certified by DNV SeaSkili.

In addition to the INS Training Centers, FURUNO is establishing a training network under the name of FURUNO NavSkilis. It is already now possible to receive FURUNO's type specific ECDIS training for FURUNO FEA-2x07 ECDIS in Germany (FURUNO Deutschland GmbH) and Turkey (Ozsay TrainingCentre). GMC training center in Greece will soon be available for FURUNO type specific ECDIS trainingfor FEA-2x07, and FURUNO is currently working onto establishing the partnership cooperation with moretraining centers in Europe, Asia and USA.
